Liz Penuela, Co-founder and Executive Director since 2014, is an artist and certified art educator from the University of Barcelona with a combined 15 years of professional experience in community arts, teaching and artistic practices in Latin america and europe.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Barcelona; Master in Artistic Production and Research (Art, city and society), University of Barcelona; and postgraduate studies in artistic research and Art and Architecture (Resources 14: “A state of migration: Sweden”), both at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. She is also certified Teacher of Arts, from the University of Barcelona.
At her free time she loves hiking in nature, dancing, yoga, swimming, biking and going to the cinema.
Co-founder and Strategic Development Director since 2016, is a social scientist with a diverse and broad experience working with international development, monitoring and evaluation, research and capacity building.
Her experience comes from working in the public and the non-profit sectors in projects regarding child and youth rights, culture, education, poverty reduction, gender, and social entrepreneurship. Alexandra has experience working in Latin America, Africa and Europe.
Alexandra loves dancing, movies and spending time with her family and friends.
